Living and Working in Sooke Harbor & with the Victoria Real Estate Board since 1986. Raised in Victoria since 1967, and have lived in Sooke Harbor since 1976. Married to wife Sherry, Our son Beau, and current pets are a loveable Balinese Cat named “Chardonay”, and black cat named "Midnight".
We enjoy Traveling, Snow Skiing, Golf, Shooting, Fishing, family & friendly Bar-B-Ques at our Lake Cottage. A few of our journey's have included remote hiking and climbs, most memorable are summating Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa - March 16-2007, it is the highest free standing mountain in the world; the 100th Anniversary - 1997 Sooke Expedition of the Klondike Gold Rush Trail; a Day Hike to the summit of Rarotonga Island - in the South Pacific's Cook Island chain - tropical rains start to finish; a summit and then Down Hill Ski of Fissile Mountain under a full moon - located in the back country of Whistler, BC; a 2004 boat trip from Edmonton Alberta to White Fox Saskatchewan - totaling near 1100 km - celebrating my fathers side of the family's History, being the 100th - anniversary to Canada.
We have been blessed with the ability to travel and experience some of the earth's beauty, it's History - A Nile Cruise and a visit to the pyramids puts a whole new twist to the meaning of "carved in stone"; it's Wildlife - A visit to some of Canada's back country and Africa's Serengeti still raises the hair on the back of my neck; it's Mountain tops - the inner sense of achievement is truly appreciated when one has accomplished a goal to successfully reach a peak.
My memories are cherished, and some have the ability to make my face hurt from laughter, my hair stand on end, and my eyes begin to sweat. Those scratch the surface of some my tales - and we look forward to many more to come!
We have donated to our community in many forms from financial to time and labor. We have been involved with a housing society from 1989 to 2009, helping to provide housing for those in need. We have participated with Habitat for Humanity, helping a project in Sidney B.C. come to fruition. We have sponsored children to go to school in Tanzania, and through World Vision. We have sat on endless public committees, elected to the Advisory Planning Commission, for planning and zoning, past involvement with the Chamber of Commerce as vice president, committees with the Victoria Real Estate Board, and management services with some instruction on courses, involved with political groups and the Association of B.C. Landowners - helping protect your property rights from oppressive government regulations.
We have been involved in many Raw Land Developments, both personal and for clients. We have been a past New Home Warranty Builder, owned our own Real Estate company for 5 years running it with my wife Sherry. Although I Enjoyed the freedom independent business ownership offers, I have found that being invited back to Royal Lepage Coast Capital Realty is where I am most comfortable.
